Popeye is a sweetie pie! This kind medium-sized boy is happy to meet new people. He is very well-mannered and loves belly rubs and cuddles. He’s VERY affectionate. His recall is impressive and he is a complete gentleman with the other dogs in the house.
He is happy to go on walks and is great on a leash – no pulling! He loves to chase squirrels, so a strong collar and leash are needed. When he does give chase, he comes back when he is called – what a good boy!
He’s very quiet and calm. He is respectful around food and doesn’t beg. He takes treat gently and has not chewed anything in our home. Popeye really strives to be the best little guy around and is ready to meet his forever family.
This scruffy guy has not had any potty accidents and is housetrained. He sheds but not too much, but that scruffy little beard is so worth it!
Popeye is a submissive and sweet dog who is a little unsure about the world. He will need a family who can show him that there’s no need to be scared and help build his confidence. He takes a bit to come out of his shell, but every day he blossoms more and more. He loves to have a comfy place to call his own like a dog bed or/and spot on the couch. Being cozy is one of his favourite things. At night, he sleeps in his crate where he feels safe and secure. He goes right in and sleeps throughout the night.
