Hello world, my name is Piper and I’m looking for my perfect forever. I’m a very special girl and I’m looking for someone extra special to love me as much as I’ll love you! Please read my whole bio and see if we’d be a good match.
I came into care from a hoarding situation and I wasn’t sure about anything. Everything was new and scary and I especially was scared of men. I have come so far and I show how brave and strong I am every single day.
I am still fearful of men and will prefer to be the only dog in the home. The thought of sharing my human makes me nervous! I’ve met cats and I’m not overly interested but will need slow intros! I do have a strong prey drive and will need a fully fenced and secure yard. Those darn squirrels like to tease me!
I am very attached to my foster mom. I follow her everywhere and want to be anywhere she is. I need a human companion that likes a shadow dog and preferably someone who is home often. Changing up my routine is no fun so I like a person who is pretty regular with their schedule. I’m currently also on medicine to help relax me as I navigate this new world.
I will need a dog savvy human that will continue my training and set boundaries for me. I’m pretty well potty trained but do have pee accidents sometimes. Going outside was new for me so I need patience as I learn! I don’t understand play or toys yet. I may learn or I may never and either way it’s okay!
