Meet Miss Lulu,
She is a 10 month old Husky mix ,approximately 35lbs, who shouldn’t get much bigger, she is a perfect “medium” size dog.
Lulu knows her name, is housetrained, and walks nicely with minimal correction on a lead. She will paw the bell on the door when she needs to go out, and come in.
She is very friendly and energetic, getting along well with adults and older children. as she still has some prey drive in her, she may scare the smaller children, and maybe cats.
Lulu is a pack animal who loves the company of other dogs, and would do well in a home in the company of another dog.
Her ideal home would be one where someone works from home, or is always around, and understands the breed.
When she is left alone and crated she will howl, bark, and occasionally even pee in the crate, she is not a fan at all.
She sleeps in a corral in the bedroom, without issue, and has a routine of anywhere from 10pm-8am daily.
Lulu has good recall, knows basic commands- sit, shake a paw, stay is still a work in progress. She loves chasing a ball , and frisbees, and returns them until she is tired of the game. She is very smart, curious, and wants to learn!
Lulu loves to walk, hike, and go to the dog park, she loves seeing and playing with all the other dogs.
Lulu came into the rescue with pelvic fracture injuries. After a period of rest,, and a series of x-rays it was determined that surgery wasn’t required, and her primary vet was pleased with her progress.
Lulu’s injuries seem to be behind her, she is a happy playful little girl who loves exploring all that life presents her.
