Save Me remembers Georgia!
“Don’t cry because it’s over ~ Smile because it happened”
We had another very sad goodbye this past weekend as our sweet senior girl Georgia made her final journey to the bridge. Although she had a very hard life and came to us at a very advanced age she had a short time of being loved and pampered. And oh how she was doted on by her devoted foster mom Uyen who made sure she passed wrapped in her loving arms. Georgia was part of a horrible neglect situation and we took her into Save Me as a palliative foster knowing that she may only be with us a short time but in her foster home every minute counted as she was clean and warm and spoiled with love. We wish she would have had much more time being cared for as she should have been throughout her life but that was not to be. We are grateful to Dr. Kadri at the Richmond Hill dog Hospital for his tender care and compassionate guidance during Georgia’s time with us. We hope Georgia is running at the bridge with some of her friends from her former home who made the journey before her.
