Willow

Save Me Rescue remembers Willow.

Willow was a senior yorkie that came into foster care with us from a Kentucky puppy mill.

She was completely emaciated and weighed only 3.7 pounds when she arrived. Right from the start, we knew she would not be leaving us because she was in palliative care. She had a Grade 4 heart murmur, an inoperable hernia and had bladder problems. She was the meekest, mildest and sweetest
little girl who had been terribly neglected and then discarded by the mill.

We were so happy to be able to give her at least a few months of love and tender care which she obviously had not had in her life before coming into rescue. We planted a variegated willow bush outside in her memory. RIP, dear, sweet Willow.
