Save Me Rescue is a registered charity organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue many animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. EMERALD (NOW HAZEL) UPDATE!

We received a wonderful update from Hazel’s family!

“I wanted to share an adoption update for Hazel (formerly Emerald from the green litter).

Hazel is full of love, energy and sass! She is 9.5 months old, and around 15lbs.

She is fully crate trained, and commands well through voice and hand signal.

Hazel is a cottage girl, spending all her weekends in the summer with her fur sister, Claire, fur cousins. She runs free and follows us along the shoreline while we kayak in the bay. Her love of birds is astonishing!

Penny is such a gorgeous girl with a beautiful brindle coat and is hunting for her forever home.

If you are looking for an independent dog that enjoys walks, the outdoors, hikes and exploring, she could be the dog for you. She needs a bit of time to warm up to new people but she has made great strides in her foster home and will seek out attention amd affection from her people. She looking for a calm home where she will continue to flourish.
