Save Me Rescue remembers Winnie.
Winnie came to Save Me Rescue from a hoarding situation where she lived with 19 other dogs. She was a very affectionate and loving girl who truly flourished once she arrived in our care. She was adopted by a wonderful family and welcomed with open arms, and the love and attention she deserved. Sadly Winnie’s time came to an end far too soon. We can all take comfort that before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, she truly knew love.
Both her adoptive mom her foster mom had some beautiful things to say about Winnie:
It is with sad heavy heart that we had to lay our little girl Winnie to rest.
Winnie you were the sweetest, funniest little girl. Your sweet disposition would light up every room you entered. Your love for life was amazing. When we first saw your picture we knew we had to have you as our little girl.
We’re so glad to of had the chance to love and cherish you even though it was short. Your were taken from us far to soon but the love you gave will stay in our hearts forever.
We hope that you knew you were loved and cherished. You will always hold a special spot in our hearts. We will always love and miss you. Rest in peace our sweet little Peanut.

We had the pleasure of fostering sweet Winnie.
At the time before we knew of her, there were a few other dogs we had started the process of rescuing, but for one reason or another none of them came to fruition. I’m a firm believer in fate and truly felt that Winnie was meant to be our Foster.
She was taken from this world far, far too soon, but Winnie enjoyed every moment with zest and joy. She was so full of love and happiness and seemed to take great pleasure in making her people laugh. She will be dearly missed, but I am at peace knowing that she had the best moments of her life with a family that loved her with all they had.
