Panda has been adopted!
Sponsored in loving memory of Wilma. A dear sister and Aunt.
Panda spent the first 15 months of her life living in a puppy mill. She is ready now to start the life she deserves.
We don’t know for sure if Panda is a pure breed poodle or if she is a mix, but looking at her, if she is a mix, she sure has a strong influence from her poodle genes. She also has the intelligence, temperament, and body movements of a poodle. She is playful, energetic, and affectionate.
At just over 30 pounds, she is halfway in size between a miniature and standard sized poodle, usually referred to as a moyen. Her mix of black and grey make for a very unique coat.
She is a bit standoffish when she meets other dogs on the street but does warm up with time. She loves toys and is always up for a good chew on a bone. She is best described as a “beginner” when it comes time to play fetch. She runs after the ball and brings it back to the general vicinity of the thrower.
She is fully house-trained and is good in the car. There are no issues when it comes to bath time or a grooming session. She loves the luxury of a warm soft blanket on the couch. At night, she expects her place in bed with her humans.
She is being fostered with three other dogs and would do best in a home where she has other dog pals. She has not been tested with cats.
She does have a loud bark. She also loves to run around in the yard. As such, an apartment would not be a good home for her.
