Nellie

Nellie has been adopted!

Sponsored by Danny & Ricki in memory of Evy Nudelman

Meet Nellie!
Nellie came to us as a stray from Kentucky. She’s quite nervous of new situations and people, but once she warms up, she’ll cover you in kisses and be your new best friend.

Nellie is a very loving and gentle soul. At only a year old, she does have a lot of energy to burn off and loves to play and run around in her foster parent’s’ backyard.

Nellie is a quick study. She has already mastered sit, stay, lay down and shake a paw. She is house and crate trained. She is quite vocal and barks at any little sound, or person walking by the house. For this reason, she would be best suited to live in a detached home.

Nellie has not been around cats, but based on her breed, we suspect she may chase them.

Her ideal family will have a fenced backyard and a fur sibling for Nellie to play with and help her gain confidence to not be so nervous and fearful of new situations and people. She will need a patient owner that will commit to building trust and confidence in her. They will also need to be comfortable with and understand that it takes Nellie awhile to warm up to and trust new people and guests who come into the home.

Nellie will be in rehab for the next few weeks so she can decompress and let her personality shine through.

She is truly a diamond in the rough and will make someone very happy!
