Nova

Nova has been adopted!

Introducing Nova! Nova is a “northern mix” all the way from Attawapiskat. She looks mostly like a husky, and gets compliments everywhere she goes on her beauty. This loving girl is approximately three years old and weighs about 45-50 pounds. Nova loves people! She is currently living in a home with 2 adults and 4 children, whom she adores. Nova is a very gentle dog. She loves affection and snuggles, and is very chill and low-key around the house. When she’s not napping, she loves to follow her people around the house wherever they go.

Nova lives with two cats, and has had to work very hard not to chase them. The temptation is real! She is learning to leave them alone inside the house, but in the yard, it’s fair game and the chase is on! Given her love of the chase we would only recommend her to a home with dog savvy cats.

Nova loves going on walks and the excitement never wears off! She uses a no-pull harness and that really helps her to walk with her person. The one main thing Nova is working on is not getting stressed out or afraid when she sees other dogs in the neighbourhood. She tends to whine and try to hide behind whoever is walking her when she sees another dog. Due to how nervous she can be of new dogs she needs a confident owner who can assist her with slow introductions.

Nova would thrive being the only dog in the home, but would also do well living with other dogs. She has recently had some sleepovers at a friend’s house, and after a slow intorduction, they became best dog-friends.

Nova is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is ready to find her forever home and start a special bond with a family who is as loving as she is!
