Nicola has an application in progress
Sponsored by Isaac for his amazing 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Walker as a Christmas present.
Hi! My name is Nicola and I am a 7 year old female Spaniel mix. I may look older than I am due to my colouring but trust me, I am a spunky, cuddly, playful little Miss.
I was found as a stray in Kentucky; I was lost and very confused. Thankfully, Save Me Dog Rescue found me and I was rescued from the shelter. I traveled a long way and arrived in beautiful Kitchener, Ontario where I live with my foster Mom, Dad, 6 year old brother and 2 cats.
I really like it here, even with this cold white stuff on the ground outside. The other day, I was so happy to have a backyard to run around in, I started jumping and running around in the snow and it was so fun!
Because my foster family and I haven’t gotten to know each other perfectly yet, I’m not sure how to tell them I need to go to the bathroom, so I need them to recognize that it has been a while since my last break and I could use another one. My foster family I live with now, knows to let me out first thing in the morning, after long naps and around dinner time. They open the door and tell me to go pee pee. It’s perfect! Backyards are great for me, but I loooove walks! Whenever my foster family grabs the leash, I know it’s time to get outside and sniff everything. I even like car rides and I don’t get nervous at all.
When it comes to food, I’m never really in a rush to eat, I’m a pretty patient girl. However, I can be very picky when it comes to treats. I’ll tell you a secret though..dried liver treats are my favourite. So far, my foster Mom has even let me try the odd hooman treat too. Cheese is great, but not too much and peanut booter is fantastic…and very sticky.
I’ve been very lucky to have been found by Save Me Rescue, sponsored and fostered, but now it’s time for me to find my furever home. I have so many snuggles to give and I can’t wait to feel those snuggles back.
Nicola was lovingly fostered by Lee.
