This smart young gal has it all—great looks, fantastic athleticism, and a bright mind to boot! Melly is described by her foster family as intelligent, playful, and a fast learner.
Melly is seeking activities and she enjoys exercise. Chasing a tennis ball, and playing in the backyard is good but things like agility and fly-ball would be even better for this challenge-seeking pooch! She is such a goofy bundle of energy, her foster family thinks that she might be a little too much for small children!
She needs an adopter who has experience with a working dog breed and has the patience to continue to help her grow. An active lifestyle would suit her best. Melly has begun scent training and would do well in agility. The girl needs a job!
Super smart, she knows all her manners and does well on a leash. She is a very quick learner, food motivated but often her young age creeps back in and she needs to be reminded of her manners. She is crate trained and can be often found catching a nap there.
She will require a high fenced yard as she easily jumps a five foot chain fence. Her ability to jump amazes her foster parents.
She does well with other dogs but pesters her smaller foster sisters. She would do best with an active dog about her size. She does well with the resident cat and does not have a high prey drive.
