This is our lovely Ladie. She is 8yrs old, about 40lbs. If you are looking for a loyal, loving, well behaved family member, look no further. Ladie is calm and quiet in the house. She enjoys spending time laying in the sunshine in our yard when we are out there with her. She loves going for walks and has beautiful leash manners. Whether I feel like jogging to burn some energy or just strolling around the neighborhood, she always stays in step. She is great in the house. She has learned our routine and how to fit into it. She gets along great with all the other dogs and the cat in the house. She is quiet. She is housetrained. She happily lies on the floor at your feet when you sit down. We are not crating her. She has earned our trust. She sleeps great through the night in the bedroom. When we go out during the day, Ladie stays in the family room. She likes to look out the sliding doors and watch the the world go by.
Ladie came to us with some health concerns. We now know that she is diabetic which is why she was tired, thin, extremely thirsty and then not able to hold her urine. Ladie is now on insulin injections twice per day. Her appetite has increased. Her thirst has decreased. She has gained weight and looks great! The medication costs about $50/month and the needles cost $10/month. Ladie takes her needles very well. This is the first dog we have had to learn to give injections too and we are so happy with how Ladie behaves. She stands perfectly still. It only takes a few seconds and then we give her cuddles and belly rubs as a reward to being so wonderful.
Ladie is just an all around wonderful dog. I believe she was a very loved pet until she became ill and was abandoned. She knows all her commands and listens very well. She is great with all people. She just wants to find the person who will love her and give her the attention she so desires. She is a people pleaser with eyes that can melt your soul.
