Hi I’m Jake! I am a 37 lbs. black lab mix who is 3.5 years old. I am very friendly and love to give my new foster family lots of sweet gentle kisses. I also have two foster dogs who love to play with me as I have lots of energy, so a fully fenced in yard that will allow me to run is best. Although I am still a little timid and unsure at my new foster family’s home, my foster mom and dad say I am getting more confident every day.
In my past life I did not seem to learn the basic command (however I respond to come) or to walk without pulling (with hardness I am much better) but my foster family is already working with me, so I can be the best dog at my forever home. I am sure I will not be a pro by the time I get adopted, so my new forever family may need to work with me on these.
Foster parents say I am also good with Cats who won’t swat at me, would do best with an active family and/ or a second-high energy dog would be ideal for me.
My foster family is still getting to know me and will update my profile once they know me better!
