Scout

Scout has been adopted!

Sponsored by the Maull family in loving memory of Jazzy

Scout and her brother Atticus come from an Indigenous community in Northern Ontario. They were rescued by a group that works with Northern communities. Save Me Rescue is proud to help puppies like them find amazing forever homes. These puppies are called ‘Nordic mixes’. They often have a combination of Husky, Shepherd, Border Collie and/or Lab in them but you never know quite what you are going to get!

These little guys look like a mix of all of the above! In our experience, they grow into dogs with lovely personalities who do best with active families. They are destined to be intelligent dogs who will require training and tasks to keep them healthy and balanced.

Because young active dogs require a lot of time and attention, we ask that applicants have a lifestyle suited to these demands including having an adult home at least part time (once we all get back to work!). As well, a fenced backyard is important for these pups. We recommend that puppies and their people get support from an experienced trainer who uses positive training methods.

Scout is small but mighty. This little girl had a rough start in life but she is now healthy and ready for adventure! She loves to explore, play and cuddle. She looks like she is going to have very pretty markings with her little white feet and her expressive eyebrows.
