Harley is a mature little guy with an entertaining personality. He loves to be front and centre in his foster family’s life and they know he is going to make his future family so happy.
This sweet boy enjoys snuggling under the covers with his foster mom and loves cuddles on his foster dad’s lap. He is a good eater, knows some basic commands and does good on a leash. He is pretty quiet for the most part. The only time he’s really vocal is when someone comes to the door. Harley is house trained, but putting him out every few hours as a friendly reminder is helpful.
Harley meets other dogs well, but due to his “look at me!” personality, would prefer to be an only dog so he doesn’t have to fight for attention. He currently lives with a cat, they mutually ignore each other.
Harley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and has recently had his dental done. It was discovered that he has a grade 2 – 3 heart murmur which may or may not progress as he gets further into his senior years. It is suggested that he be kept at a healthy weight for his size and avoid high sodium foods.
His ideal home would be an active couple who have no small children in the home. He does best in a calm predictable environment. He loves to go for walks and would be a great motivator for getting out and enjoying the outdoors.
