Darcy has been adopted.
At 10 years of age, handsome little Darcy was dropped off at a local shelter by his family, because he was “old.” In the same visit, we were told that his family asked shelter staff if there were any puppies available to take home with them. Imagine that!
Well, we are happy to report that Darcy’s days of being unappreciated for the lovely boy he is, are behind him. A great little guy, Mister Darcy gets along swimmingly with both cats and other dogs! After being neglected for so long, Darcy only has one slight medical conern, which is that he has chronic dry eye. All this means is that he needs drops in his eyes every day.
Otherwise, foster mom Sandra says “he is a great little senior looking for a retirement home to be pampered and spoiled in.” Darcy is very treat and food motivated and he strolls along nicely on his leash and completely house trained.
Darcy is quite affectionate and loves constant company. We are hoping he can find a nice owner or set of owners who are home during the day and who would love a little poodle to cuddle on and spoil for the rest of his days.
Please note that while we continue to get to know each of our dogs, their biographies will be updated with additional information, so make sure to check back once in a while!
