Cricket

Cricket has been adopted!

Sponsored by Nancy in memory of her sweet client, Holly.

Cricket is a super loving girl that wants to be included in everything you do.

This tiny girl will thrive with an adopter that is looking for a tiny best friend. She would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. She likes to be right in the middle of whatever her people are doing and loves to perch on the back of the sofa during TV or reading time.

Cricket is a bit of a nervous girl. She spent her early days in foster care wandering the house and pacing, though she’s feeling much more settled now. She gets excited for car rides, but trembles during the ride. It just seems to be her personality. Cricket is friendly and loving but due to her small size and timid nature, she would do best in an adult home.

Cricket is an early riser. She is mostly house trained. Her preference is to use a pee pad, but she does go when she’s taken outside. (She doesn’t care for wet grass.. but that isn’t surprising when your belly is only a few inches off the ground!) With patience, full training will be successful since many of her accidents are thought to be from too many changes.

She doesn’t like being crated and prefers to have free run of the house when left alone. She will cry/bark when left crated, so a condo/apartment isn’t going to be suitable for her.

While Cricket has been fostered with other dogs, she really prefers to be an only dog. She doesn’t have much time for other dogs and would truly prefer to be the center of all affection. She walks well on her leash and loves her purse carrier.

Cricket recently had a dental, a spay, and her vaccines were all done, so she is completely up to date medically.

This sweet and slightly timid girl would love a family who can include her in everything they do. They will encourage her to be brave, but understanding of her need be close to her humans. She likes to be praised and gives the most gentle nose kisses ever. If you’re looking for an adorable tiny companion, look no further.
