Sweet and shy, single guy who will steal your heart. Chulupa has just arrived on the scene and will be looking for his forever family to settle down with. He has come to Save Me Dog Rescue from Kentucky when his family had to surrender him as they could no longer afford to take care of him.
He is initially nervous when he meets new people; however, he does not bark, growl, or nip, he simply adverts contact until he feels comfortable….then kisses and belly rubs are plentiful!
Chulupa is excellent with cats and other dogs. He is a playful guy who enjoys playing with squeaky toys. He also enjoys a little play/romp as each person in his foster homes comes home at the end of the day. He is very food motivated which will make training this little guy very easy. During the day when his foster family is out he is crated. Initially, he will make a few little whimper noises, but quickly refocuses on his tasty snacks inside his crate.
He sleeps through the night (and the morning alarm) in the master bedroom on a comfy chair with fleece blankets to keep him warm. He enjoys short little walks and is excellent on his leash. He does not require a fenced in backyard as long as he has the required little walks for bathroom breaks throughout the day. He does seem to be house trained.
He loves to snuggle on your lap or above you on the back of the couch and will come to you to be picked up. Although he has been introduced to children over 10, he would do best in an adult home due to his small size.
This little guy is a doll! He is the perfect mixture of play and love!
