Ginger has been adopted!
Sponsored in celebration of Snoopy’s 11th birthday
Hello potential forever family! My name is Ginger and I am a 5 month old female Bloodhound/Collie mix. I was surrendered by my first family because they had a lot going on and couldn’t take care of my anymore. My foster mom says that I am a great puppy for only being 5 months old and that I’m really smart and super cute.
I am still working on my housetraining, but I’m learning quickly and know where to go to ask to be let out. I will need a family who understands that I may still have a few accidents while I am adjusting to a new routine. I don’t mind going into my crate during the day while my foster parents are at work and at night when we all go to bed; it just takes me a few minutes to settle and then I’m good (I might sing you a song while I’m settling though). I do sometimes wake my foster mom up during the night to ask to go outside, but I’m getting better at sleeping through the night!
I LOVE playing with my two foster sisters. I have a lot of puppy energy and love to run around the yard and play with toys and wrestle with my foster sisters. I am learning to take cues from them when they don’t want to play, so I will find a toy and entertain myself instead. I will need a family who is committed to exercising me and providing me with the stimulation that I need. My foster mom says I’m pretty good at walking on a leash, but my nose sometimes gets the best of me and I need to follow a smell, or a squirrel (I am a Bloodhound after all).
I am up to date on all of my shots and am in good health.
I have a lot of love to give and I really like snuggling with my humans. If my future family has kids, they will need to be respectful and dog savvy. I’ve never met a cat, so I’m not sure what I would be like around one.
I would probably benefit from some puppy training classes. I even hear it will strengthen my bond with my new family. I’m already on a roll – I have learned my name, come and sit in the last week!
My foster mom says I deserve the best family who will love me so much and spoil me rotten. I can’t wait to meet you!
