Patches is adopted
After ongoing heartworm treatment in one of our foster homes in Ohio, Patches has finally arrived in Canada… and he is looking for love! He is coming out of his shell and his beautiful personality is beginning to shine.
Patches is 8 years old, but has the energy of a much younger dog. He is a snuggle bug who loves giving kisses, especially when there are treats involved. Be careful, this playful boy is quick! His eyes shine like the glimmering snow when you bring him outside.
Typical hound dog, nothing could make him happier than a nice long walk with his nose down to the ground… or up in the air to chase birds and squirrels. He will need help with his leash training in order to learn how to enjoy his outings at a slower pace. He has the typical hound traits of chasing birds, squirrels and rabbits in his fully fenced in back yard. We are not sure how he would interact with a cat in his forever home as he has not been cat tested. We know he is able to relax because, on lazy afternoons, you will always find him catching a snooze on his foster parents’ big bed.
Patches was found alone, scared, sad, starved and with his tail missing too. Although many attempts were done to contact the family he was microchipped to, we never heard back from them. We cannot understand why no one would be looking for such a wonderful companion. Will you be his forever pal?
Patches was lovingly fostered by Meg E.
