Barkley has been adopted!
Barkley is the sweetest! This boy is going to make a lucky family very very happy. He warms up to people easily and loves the company of all other dogs. Barkley seems to mirror the energy of his favourite people and if you are ready for a walk, he can go for hours but if you are relaxing around the house he is happy to do that as well. Barkley is a wonderful age as he has lots of energy and enthusiasm but is very well behaved in the home.
Barkley immediately lights up at the suggestion of a walk. His foster mom currently uses a harness when walking him as he is quite excited and strong initially but settles quickly. Every morning he goes for a long walk ( 60 minutes) with a group of local dogs ranging in size from 15-80lbs. Barkley has fit in with the other dogs, like no other dog his foster mom as fostered before, he really enjoys the company of his new friends. Barkley also desperately play and fit in with his foster mom’s cat. Barkley would possibly fit in with a very dog savvy cat but might be too eager for cats that are uncertain about having dog friends.
It is clear that at some point in Barkley’s life, he was very loved by someone, he is trusting, affectionate, adaptable and very well behaved in the home. Barkley is a moderate energy boy, who loves to go for walks but also enjoys relaxing around the house. Barkley is very eager to please his favorite people and loves to be told that he is a “good dog”. He has a wonderful smile and a tail that is always wagging.
Currently Barkley is being fostered in a condo setting and is very quiet in the home and loves getting multiple walks a day. He loves to stop and visit with new people and dogs, everyone comments of how cute and unique looking he is and how cute his short little legs are. Barkley is a mix of two non-shedding breeds and does not shed at all.
Barkley’s foster mom has fallen completely head over heels in love with this very sweet boy and knows that a wonderful family is out there for him that will give him as much love and attention as he is prepared to give them. Barkley is soo ready to start his new life and fall in love with his new family.
