Tippy is currently in our rehabilitation program as she settles into her foster home and works on gaining some much needed confidence in herself and her surrounding.
Tippy is a lovely older Aussie, looking for a patient and loving forever home where her true personality can shine through. We know little about Tippy’s past, but what we do know is that it has not been easy. As a result, she has some reservations when meeting new people and in new situations. That said, after just a day in her foster home, she is already beginning to trust her foster parents and look to them for guidance, taking a particular liking to her foster dad. Tippy is gentle and quiet, and is as sweet as she is beautiful.
Tippy is housetrained, and has not had any accidents in her foster home. She likes to spend time outside and enjoys walks. Inside, Tippy prefers the comfort of a large crate set up in the living room, where she feels safe and secure while still being close to her foster family. Tippy is very responsive, and does the cutest head tilts when you talk to her or when she hears a sound that is new to her.
Tippy is pleasantly plump at 50lbs, and will need her forever family to commit to helping her lose a few pounds so she can get around a little easier. Tippy is currently living with a 25lb dog who isn’t a fan of other dogs. Tippy is very respectful of her space, but does show interest in other dogs and would likely do well with a confident, respectful dog in the home.
Tippy really is a lovely dog, and will make a great addition to the right home. Her foster family is enjoying getting to know her, and will be sure to provide updates as she settles in a little more and her personality continues to develop!
