Sadie has been adopted!

Sadie is such a lovely little dog! One minute, she is very loving, affectionate, and cuddly dog that just wants to be picked up, held, and loved.. and the next she is like a playful little puppy, running around, full of beans, and having a good wrestle with the cat (who is actually bigger than she is and also enjoys a good wrestle!). She’s such a delight.
She’s still learning that not every food dish in the house is hers, but she’ll get there! She’s also discovered toys, which is just adorable to watch. At first, she really stayed close to us and always needed to know where we were, but now that she’s more familiar with her surroundings, she spends equal time with the humans, the cats, and in her little bed or crate.
She interacts well with our kids (11 and 16 yr olds), but we have yet to see her around really small children, although, we assume that she would be great with children that are gentle and respectful.
She loves going out for long walks followed by a little nap! We do hear the odd little growl come out when strangers approach, but that subsides quickly as she senses that things are ok and that there’s no need to act like a tough little cookie.
Sadie does have some lingering medical concerns as a result of neglect, so she is on a special diet and will require check-ups as she gets fully back on her feet. Sadie would benefit from a loving, affectionate home where she would be walked frequently, and receive the care and cuddles that she’s looking for.
