Sadie has been adopted!
What a sweet little girl this Sadie is! She is an 8 lb, senior bundle of love who adores people, loves the other dogs here and can’t cuddle close enough! Sadie had a difficult life it seems. She was dumped at a high kill pound covered in fleas and thin as a rail by owners who said they didn’t have time for her any more. Sadie is missing the fur on her chest and belly, probably as a result of the fleas and is is on a supplement for Skin and Coat. She will soon put that wonderful full coat back on, since she is now getting good quality food and lots of love!Sadie is fearful of being dropped or thrown, as many small dogs are, but will settle close once she trusts. She is house-trained but sure doesn’t like the cold – she loves to sleep right in front of the fire place or heater! Sadie LOVES to eat and is being fed 4 times per day so we can get her weight up, then have a dental done to make her more comfortable with sweet smelling breath!
As soon as new people come in, she stands up on her back legs and begs with her front paws to be picked up! Sadie loves to roam around the fenced yard, so it would be wonderful if she could enjoy that along with another small friendly dog. She doesn’t have to be crated at all.
All Sadie wants is someone to love her and keep her safe, so it would be best if she was around people who would be gentle with her, and perhaps not with younger kids who might be a little rough with her. She is simply a precious, little innocent soul and a total joy to have as a foster !
