Romeo & Juliet (bonded pair) are available for adoption
Sponsored by Jodi K. in honour of her birthday. Happy Birthday Jodi!!
This sweet pair will melt your heart.
Their love is strong, they cannot part.
Romeo & Juliet are very respectful in our home. This bonded pair are the definition of cute and cuddly with a perfect balance of playfulness and calm.
They are crate trained, walk well on a leash and are great little passengers in the car. They are house trained. Juliet likes to be alone when she is eating and does not want other dogs around, (sometimes a lady just needs some time to herself!).
Romeo & Juliet are social and friendly with our older teenagers. They are the perfect little couch companions. They like life peaceful and quiet. They are quiet for the most part but do voice their concerns when they’re left alone, so they would do best in a home with someone home for part of the day.
It has become apparent that Juliet’s role in this relationship is the protector and leader. She’s the more serious of the two, while Romeo is the happy-go-lucky free spirit. Within a week of their time in foster care, Juliet has shown signs of stress and has tried to dominate the other female dog in the home that interact with Romeo. While they are fairly independent within the home, she’s fiercely loyal to him. These two have been through the stress of loosing their family and, while Romeo does not seem phased, Juliet is far more sensitive. We feel that it would be best to find a home where they would be the only dogs and without small children.
Romeo has luxating patella but as he is doing well clinically our vet does not feel he is a candidate for surgery at this time. While it is possible that he may need surgery down the road, curtailing any undo stress on his knees will be beneficial.
