Meet Penny, a spirited three-year-old Mountain Cur with a heart as big as her smile. Spayed and full of life, Penny’s journey began with challenges, but her resilience shines through. After being rescued, she started experiencing the love and warmth she deserves, and she has embraced it with open paws.
Penny is a quick learner and a treat enthusiast, especially loving those sweet moments when you scratch her under the collar. Her progress in foster care over the past few months has been extraordinary. Despite a few remaining fears, she has blossomed into a delightful companion, earning the affectionate nickname “Pretty Penny Blossom.”
Now housetrained, Penny is a tidy little lady who prefers to stay indoors when it rains. You will have to be prepared to go outside with an umbrella to cover her so she will pee on those rainy days. Though she was initially shy around her foster siblings, she quickly warmed up and now adores them, especially enjoying playtime with the big dog while respectfully giving the smaller ones their space. She even gets along with the resident cat, engaging in playful chases that end with a gentle, friendly stare. Penny has not needed to be crated at night because she is such a good sleeper. She guess in her bed and will sleep soundly through the night.
Penny would thrive in a calm yet active home, where her love for exploration and walks can be fully enjoyed. A secure, fenced yard is essential for her safety and happiness. With her intelligence and eagerness to learn, Penny would benefit greatly from training and interactive games that challenge her mind and enhance her skills.
