Save Me Remembers Olivia

We had to say good-bye to our dear little palliative foster, Olivia, on July 6th. Olivia arrived into rescue in late December 2020 at 15+ years of age. After a few vet visits it was decided that it was best for Olivia to stay with Save Me and we are so grateful to her foster mom, Evelyn, for giving Olivia the loving home she so deserved to live out the rest of her days in comfort. At Olivia’s last vet visit it was decided that her quality of life had gotten to the point that it was time to let her leave gently and peacefully.
Olivia had truly been living on borrowed time and having her put to sleep was not anticipated by her foster Mom at this vet visit. As she always does, Evelyn put her foster dog’s needs above her own feelings. We are sending her a collective hug and hope her heart heals quickly, as Olivia would want her to.
