Norrie has been adopted!
Sponsored in loving memory of Ringo by Dawson
This sweet-loving fluffy friend is named Norrie. She is an adorable 4 year old Lhasa Apso mix looking for a calm and patient home. We know very little about her past. Norrie can be quite timid with strangers, but once she gets to know you, her happy little tail won’t stop wagging. She is slowly learning to go for walks, and has become quite good on leash. The snow was a big surprise for Norrie, being from the south, but with a sweater and a few snuggles, she keeps trudging onward! Norrie isn’t very comfortable being picked up and will sometimes try to wiggle away to get free. She is not an overly cuddly dog, but she loves to sit on the couch beside us and loves a good belly rub.
Norrie gets along well with her Shih Tzu mix foster sister, Bertie. Norrie will engage her sister in play and is happy to curl up alongside her. We aren’t sure if Norrie is familiar with cats, but based on her submissive personality, we think it would still be a good fit. Norrie takes treats from our hands and is not food aggressive. She has a very healthy appetite and is always ready for a treat or two.
Norrie’s housetraining still needs some work. She’s had a couple of accidents in the house, so she will need someone who is mostly home for a consistent routine. She sleeps all night in her crate, but is also eager to nap on the big human bed with her foster mom during the day. Norrie loves to play with toys, especially her little pink ball.
We haven’t seen Norrie around children; however, we feel she would be best in a home without small children due to her fears of noises and sudden movements.
Norrie is looking for a quiet home with people who have time and patience to help her build up her confidence. This also means that Norrie will require a home with another confident dog. She looks to her foster sister for reassurance and guidance. If you’re interested to know more about Norrie, please reach out to us.
Norrie was lovingly fostered by Natalie.
