Dear Family
My name is Max. I’m 4 years old and weigh 14 pounds. I am a chihuahua/rat terrier mix and have the most amazing ears. I should have been called Batman J
My first 4 years were pretty rough. I lived in a home with 14 other dogs in West Virginia. I was hard getting enough food, so we were all surrendered to rescues. Instead of focusing on my past I am now ready for a bright new future!
I am ready to be pampered and feel safe. I hope my new family will be able to spend lots of time with me. I am housetrained but it would be nice if you could come home during lunch or better yet, spend much of your day at home. On my wishlist I also want a home with a very friendly dog so I can have someone to make me feel more confident, which was hard, when I was competing with 14 other dogs. Did I mention I also like cats!
If you really want me to do something good, I love praise, sure treats are great but I respond better to encouragement. I love walks and I’m not one of those dogs who needs to mark everything I smell and see. I am gentle and love to go where you go.
At first I will follow you like a little shadow but then when I find my special place in the house I will settle down.
Bark? Me? Well ok, sometimes, but I am easily corrected after the first bark and generally do it when I hear a loud noise outside, or if my foster sister starts barking first.
So that’s me new family. I am friendly, extremely loyal and really want a calm home, with a friend to snuggle with.
