Marigold has been adopted!

We are pleased to introduce you to sweet Marigold, also affectionately called Gramma Mari by her foster mom. While she may be a more mature lady and moving at a bit slower pace these days, we believe she once was an expert hurdle jumper by the look of her long and slender legs.
Marigold enjoys a more leisurely lifestyle. She is an expert napper and has taken a page from Goldilocks in that she likes to test out all the beds in the house and will go from bed to bed throughout the day. This lady loves to be comfortable! She is far from a marathon runner or walker as she prefers short distances, mainly just to do her duties and enjoy the fresh outdoor air. Marigold is also appreciative of all the pets and cuddles her foster mom gives her and shows her appreciation by what feels like a hug when you pick her up.
Marigold is housetrained but there is someone currently home through out the day to let her out and like many older ladies, her bladder is not what it used to be. If she doesn’t have a late night potty break, she will need to go out in the middle of the night and is an early riser to use the bathroom (around 6 a.m.). She is generally a quiet girl that will let out a bark if you haven’t noticed her in time at the back door to go out for a potty break. She has free reign of the house and only crated when in the car. She has not been destructive in her foster home. She is an easy going girl that gets along with her foster siblings (dogs and cats).
While in our care, Marigold had a dental with extractions and is currently eating a softened diet. She is also on a hip and joint supplement and does much better on carpeted services and does not do stairs. She is hearing and vision impaired.
Marigold’s ideal home includes one with no stairs or ones that can be gated off and where someone is home most of the day where they can cuddle and give Marigold all the pets she so thoroughly enjoys. A yard would be nice as on nice days she enjoys the deck and basking in the sun but is not a requirement.
