Maisie

Maisie has been adopted!

Maisie is a beautiful 1.5 year old hound mix who came all the way from Tennessee. She has beautiful brown eyes, pearly white teeth, long legs and a nice slender build. She has adjusted wonderfully and is now ready to find her new life here in Canada.

Maisie is a very sweet and loving girl who loves people of all ages. Because of her sweet nature she would do well in a home with children. She is living with a human foster brother and sister that are 7 and 4 and she is great with them. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people and will approach you slowly to sniff you. But she warms up very quickly. She is a quiet girl and rarely barks.

She has done well with all dogs she has met and would love to have another dog in the home that she can play with but it is not a requirement. She is currently living with two older foster brothers who don’t really enjoy playing and she is content keeping herself busy playing with her toys.

She loves to run and play in the yard so a nice fenced in backyard is a must.

Being a young girl she still has a fair bit of energy and will need daily walks and play time. She enjoys her daily walks and taking in all the smells and walks pretty well on a leash. She is very smart and has quickly learned how to sit and stay. Her foster mom says in no time she will know all her basic commands. She appears to be housetrained and has been doing her business outside. She also rides well in the car.

Her foster mom currently works from home three days a week and is in the office 2 days. When working from home she likes to be close by playing with her toys or snoozing away. She is crated when her foster mom is in the office. She will whine and bark for a bit but does settle. That is the only time her foster mom has heard her bark. She sleeps in her crate at night in her foster mom’s bedroom as she loves to be close to her people.

If you are looking for a sweet, fun, loving and smart companion then Maisie just might be your girl!
