Madge

Madge has been adopted.

Madge is a beautiful 7 year old, 22 pound, Blue Ticked Beagle who joined Save Me Rescue this past weekend.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Madge was sadly found as a stray with a broken leg and was greatly in need of urgent care which we are pleased to say she has since received. Madge is walking very well now and her past injury does not seem to bother her in any way. She is feeling so great that she now loves to run around the yard and explore!

Although she has only been with Save Me Rescue for a few days, more and more of her sweet personality is shining through and she is happy to greet everyone who comes into the house. We are so thrilled to report that within the care of her fantastic foster mama and numerous siblings, Madge’s confidence is growing every day.

Madge gets along beautifully with her foster siblings – big, small, and even the really annoying one. She is very respectful and polite with the other dogs and has begun to join in when they are playing and running around. She is much smaller than she appears in photos.

Madge appears to be housebroken at this time, however she does seem to need to go out fairly often at this point. Although she is still becoming familiar with the routine of the house, she does sleep through the night with no accidents! What a perfect girl.

This little sweetie is so kind. She takes treats very gently and is as sweet a girl as you can imagine. Madge is very quiet and calm and likes to be a bit of a couch potato. She is very much loved by each member of the household, as it comes easily when you are such a great little dog!

Says her foster mom, and one of our Directors Roz, “Madge is by far the easiest foster dog I have ever had and would be a great companion for someone who is looking for a great little friend to love.” For some belly rubs and ear scratches you will receive lots of love back from this lovely girl. Having fostered so many dogs, this truly says a lot!

Please note that while we continue to get to know each of our dogs, their biographies will be updated with additional information, so make sure to check back once in a while!
