Lola

Lola has been adopted!

Sponsored by Anita. For all those who have found their forever home and those just getting started…love Roxie

Lola, Sulley and Storm came from an Indigenous reserve in Northern Ontario. They were rescued by a group that works with Northern communities. Save Me Rescue is proud to be a partner in finding amazing forever homes for these puppies.  These puppies are called ‘Nordic mixes’. They often have a combination of Husky, Shepherd and Lab in them but you never know quite what you are going to get!  In our experience, they grow into dogs with lovely personalities who do best with active families.

Lola is the cuddliest of her siblings and loves to give you kisses while she sits on your lap. Although she is the smallest of the three pups she is your typical sister and feisty. She loves to get her brothers going whether it is a nip on their ears or a nudge with her head to get them to start playing with her.  Like her siblings she will bark in excitement while playing with her brothers. She does seem to enjoy to sit on your lap and soak up all the pets and loving and will likely bond strongly to her owner. Lola seems to sleep in the most uncomfortable positions but always looks so peaceful.

Lola and her brothers are good at keeping their area clean during the day provided they are taken out regularly and they do enjoy exploring the backyard. Lola has started to whine to signal her foster family that she needs to go out but her foster family is still taking her out regularly to reduce the number of accidents in the house. They cannot hold it overnight yet so until they are older and fully trained, the adopter will have to do some tidying each morning.  They will require training and an active family to keep them healthy and balanced.

Lola, Sulley and Storm were said to be born on July 5.

While Lola is accepting applications she will not be ready to go home until September 1st. She will be 8 weeks old at that time.
