Lola is adopted!

Lola / Female / Spayed / Chocolate Lab Mix / 1.5 years old / 60 lbs / Adoption Fee is $400.00

Lola arrived to our care on Saturday March 11, 2017. This beautiful chocolate lab mix is about a 1.5yrs old, 60lbs . She is spayed now but has had at least one litter of pups in the past. She arrived to us skinny and exhausted with an ear infection. She has used her first couple of days to catch up on her sleep and feast on the endless supply of food and treats she received. We are now starting to see more of her true personality. She must have belonged to somebody because she is a very well trained girl. We are very impressed.
She knows all her commands such as sit and lay down. She is housetrained. She could use some more practice walking on a leash. She just has so much energy. She wouldn’t pull as much if I could run faster to keep up with her. She would love a home with a large backyard to romp and play and a family that is active so she could get lots of exercise.

Lola loves to play with other dogs but she is not great at sharing her food and toys therefore it would be best if she was the only dog in the house but she had a chance to socialize and play with other dogs often. She is doing fine with our cat but she will chase the it if it runs, probably instinct.

She is not crate trained. We have given her the main floor to roam when we are away as she has proven already that we can trust her. She would much prefer if we were actually home with her but she does okay on her own. She is sleeping in bed at night with us. She is a very good sleeper!

Lola will require a family with big dog experience. She listens to commands very well but will push the boundaries if you are not a confident leader. She would love a family with children 12yrs and up who could take her out for lots of playtime activities.
