Meet Johnny!

Johnny and his siblings joined our rescue from the James Bay Coast. They are what we call “northerns” meaning they are a wonderful mix of husky, lab and shepherd. Johnny’s mom was a medium sized dog but his dad is unknown so his adopter should prepare for him to be a medium-large dog when full grown.

At 13 weeks old Johnny is a super sweet and highly intelligent puppy. He loves to be on the go and is he kind of dog who wants to join in on all your adventures. Johnny is being fostered by Kyle and Madison of North Grey K9. Having trainers as your fosters means you get a head start on your obedience training. Johnny is incredibly smart, already having mastered his basic commands and is looking for a home who is interested in taking his training to the next level.

Johnny is crate trained and has a good start on his house training. He is comfortable being bathed and having his nails done. He is great with other dogs and although not cat tested, based on his temperaments we feel he would do well in a home with cats.

Johnny possesses all the qualities that make northern’ s such wonderful companions. He is a smart, balanced puppy who is eager to learn and we are confident he is going to grow into a sensational dog.
Although Johnny’s adorable face and epic ears can easily fool you into thinking you want a puppy, it’s important to remember that puppies are a lot of work. They chew things they shouldn’t, have accidents where they shouldn’t and require routine and commitment. Helping these small puppies grow into well balanced adult dogs is no small feat and it’s important that you consider the commitment required before applying to adopt.
