Dogs

Hagar

Hagar has been adopted.

Hagar is a very happy and cuddly beagle boy who loves the company of all people (including children), cats and other dogs.

Hagar is the sweetest most gentle dog his foster mom has ever met! He is an expert snuggler with a tail that never stops wagging.

When he was first brought to the attention of Save Me Rescue volunteers he was a very underweight dog in a Kentucky shelter.  Hagar has been working very hard and enjoying gaining some weight over the last few weeks.  Although he is still quite skinny and still has some weight to gain,  Hagar loves to eat, so this should not be a problem.

Although Hagar is extremely affectionate he possesses a very kind and gentle affection and is not one for face washing and jumping up on people.  When you do get a kiss from Hagar though it is extra special.

Hagar’s is very friendly and enthusiastic with dogs and people but is respectful and not hyper or excitable.  Hagar recently met a cat and again was interested but respected her space and ignored her completely.

Hagar is a hound through and through,  when he is outside he will follow his nose and should not be trusted at leash.  Hagar would be an incredible therapy dog, as he is so gentle, sweet and friendly and loves children.

Hagar  seems to mirror the energy of his foster mom and is happy to play with a toy or go for a walk with her or relax if that’s what she would like to do.

Hagar’s foster mom cannot imagine a home where he would not fit in he is so easy going, gentle and kind.

For more information on Hagar, please contact his foster mom Alissa at ajambrovic@hotmail.com.

Please note that while we continue to get to know each of our dogs, their biographies will be updated with additional information, so make sure to check back once in a while!
