Fawn

Fawn has been adopted!

Sponsored by Marc and Jackie, in loving memory of Shep, a Save Me foster fail who recently passed and who we miss dearly

Fawn is a 2 year old chihuahua who defies all the typical chihuahua stereotypes! She is a super social girl who loves every person and dog she meets. In fact, she finds it deeply insulting when she meets new people on our walks and they don’t stop to tell her how ridiculously cute she is!

She is fully housetrained and crate trained. When Fawn arrived into foster the temps were very cold but she never had a single accident, pretty impressive for a chi! Currently she stays in an xpen when her foster family is out and she settles beautifully after a couple of minutes. We have yet to hear her bark but that doesn’t mean she is a quiet girl. She often cries/whines to express how she is feeling which is pretty comical. She has no trouble keeping up with the big dogs in her foster home….in fact we are convinced she thinks she is a big dog. She loves a good cuddle but only after she has had a walk, play with the dogs or a Kong.

She is a young dog who requires her physical and mental needs met daily. She loves to play fetch and has become a pro at bringing it back and dropping it every time. She is a super smart little dog who picks up training incredibly quickly. Although we feel Fawn would do well in pretty much any environment her ideal home would be one with another playful dog or access to other playful dogs. We also wouldn’t suggest a home with young kids due to the fact that Fawn is very puppy like in her behavior and has a tendency to mouth when she is excited or over stimulated.

If you have been looking for a big dog personality in a small package than Fawn is your girl. She has been so fun to foster and will bring so much joy to her future adopters.
