Elliot

Elliot has been adopted!

Sponsored in loving memory of Pumba (see end of Elliot’s bio for a tribute to Pumba)

Elliot was rescued from Laredo, Texas.

Elliot is an absolute sweetheart. Such a polite gentleman who loves to be cuddled and to get lots of belly rubs.

Elliot gets super excited when he sees you coming and will greet you all tail wags and wiggle butts.

Elliot loves his walks and greets everyone on the way. He walks well on the leash although he likes to run ahead but being only 14 lbs means he doesn’t pull too much. When he gets back to the house, Elliot loves to curl up on his bed, blanket or in his crate. He loves his crate and sleeps in it at night.

Elliot is not much of a barker unless another dog starts and then, he will happily join in.

He loves playing with other dogs and the cat as well if the cat allows it. Elliot is the perfect dog. He will sleep until you are ready to go out, will never interrupt your zoom meetings, can be left alone and has no separation anxiety.

He would be perfect in most situations. A very adaptable dog.

Elliot had a broken leg that never set properly so he often will run on 3 legs but he has been vetted. He had some dental work done probably caused by his overbite.

Everyone who has met Elliot has fallen in love.

“Elliot and Taco are sponsored on behalf of Pumba, “a dude with a tude”. Pumba had the “godfather” look down pat. When Pumba first came down the stairs to meet me he gave me his “godfather” look, which clearly said “let’s get this straight from the get go. I am the boss, this is my walk, so we walk when I want, we smell when I want and we rest when I want”; and then he smelled me up and down. I past the sniff test and thus began Pumba’s and my daily walks. If I tried to move Pumba along before he was ready his “godfather” look would appear and I knew I had crossed the line. After every walk Pumba would sit at my feet and stare at the table with the treats and back at me as if to say “hey, don’t think you’re leaving without my treats”.

Last July Pumba welcomed Ellie, a sister from a different Mister and a Save Me Dog rescue, into his home to share his mom, his sister, Kenzie, his beds and his toys.

Pumba touched the hearts everyday of those who loved him. A gentle soul who loved to be with his mom, curled up in one of his beds at her feet while she worked or with his sister Kenzie or with Ellie”
