Darcy

Darcy has been adopted!

Sponsored by Ted Alexander in memory of dear friends Dody & Lorne Mitchell. Every dog deserves a second chance and a loving home.

Everyone meet Darcy!

After spending the last few weeks in training building her confidence, Darcy is now in search of her perfect adoptive home. Darcy is a happy go lucky girl who adores her people. She does well with adults and kids but does have a tendency to jump up when she gets excited so a home with kids 12+ would be ideal. She would also do well in a home with another well balanced dog or as an only dog (this girl will never complain about having her people all to herself!).

Darcy is a medium energy dog who loves to spend time with her family, whether it be going on hikes or for a ride in the car, she is the perfect companion. We have also learned over the last few weeks that Darcy LOVES training. It’s been incredible to watch her grow and her confidence build through training and we are looking for a home who has the time to exercise her both mentally and physically. Not much fazes Darcy while out on on walks and as a result we feel she would do well in either a rural or urban setting. Darcy is fully house and crate trained. Although she does well in her crate and is not destructive, ideally we are looking for a home where she will not be left alone for long periods of time.

Darcy (as with all dogs) does best in an environment with routine and structure. This structure allows her to be the best version of herself. We will work with Darcy’s future adopter to provide them with the framework needed to make Darcy’s transition into their home as seamless possible. It’s important to us and Darcy that she is provided with an environment that will not only maintain but continue to grow her confidence.
