Buffy is adopted
Sweet & very special.
Buffy is a very special girl with a gentle and loving personality. She loves all people including respectful children and is good with other dogs and dog savy cats. Everyone who meets Buffy comments on how special this girl is. She would make a wonderful volunteer therapy dog with her loving personality and gentle enthusiasm for meeting all new people she sees
Buffy spent a good portion of her life living under a trailer and is missing her hind leg. Despite this she has a lot of trust in people and approaches anyone new in a gentle, happy and confident way that is uniquely Buffy. She has demonstrated good house manners, having no accidents and sleeping quietly in her crate through the night. She knows her name and if asked will sit on command for a treat. She is very quiet in the home and does not jump up when she wants attention.
Buffy likes to be close to her people and likes nothing more then a good cuddle or belly rub while watching TV. Buffy also enjoys her walks, playing with stuffed toys and exploring her new foster home. She is a curious girl who still has a good amount of energy and loves to chase squirrels a bunnies on her walks. She has been very respectful of the cat in her foster home and can also coexist with other dogs. Although Buffy is good with other animals, humans are clearly her favorite.
Buffy is happy to be wherever her people are and will gently paw at you or nudge your hand to remind you that she would like to be pet. Buffy has a unique way of making everyone she meets feel special by giving them all of her attention and then promptly asking for a belly rub.
Buffy continues to surprise her foster mom with what she can do. Although she is a senior and missing a leg, she enjoys her walks, loves to play, likes to get out of the car on her own and is working on going up the stairs in her foster home.
Even though Buffy photographs large she is a petite girl, only weighing 23 lbs. It is challenging to imagine a home that would not be a fit for sweet Buffy, this little lady has so much love to give despite everything she has been through and all she needs is a forever family to love her in return and give her the life she deserves.
