Brandy has been adopted.
Aptly named, this sweet little girl is as sweet as brandy so it’s no surprise that she has been melting all of our hearts here at Save Me Rescue!
At just 6 months old, and a very petite 16 lbs, our beautiful girl
found herself in a shelter, somehow. Luckily, we were able to snatch her up quickly in hopes that she will be able to forget she was ever neglected. A total joy to be around, Brandy is still learning the ropes of house training as she has not had much consistency in her short life so far, but is improving daily as she is a very smart young lady, and is eager to learn.
Though she is not a huge fan of a crate during the day hours (as it likely reminds her of the shelter), she serenades all that will listen to her with her lovely siren songs. For this reason, she would do best in a home that is detached or wherein she will have minimal alone time. It is important to remember however, that Brandy is just a puppy and she does not know any better given her past. She does not seem to have bad habits or temperament, she just hasn’t had very much structure, like all children need.
Brandy has been cat tested with 2 cats of different personalities, and much to our delight, she had no interest in the more mellow of the two. That said, the second cat of the house, spent two days hiding. Brandy lives happily in a foster home with a variety of ages and sizes of dogs and gets along well with all of them. The resident chinchilla has yet to receive even a blink from her.
Lovely Brandy can be a busy girl, but is also content to hang out with her people and just chill, kick back and watch some television. Food motivated, she can leap a counter in a single bound so will need continued reinforcement of manners in this direction, but given her age she is easy to shape and mould, and we have no doubt that she will be next to perfect in no time at all.
Brandy is a bright, social girl who is looking for a healthy home environment, and a family who not only will continue to enjoy her puppyhood, but will help her grow into the beautiful dog her foster Moms see emerging already. If you are looking for a pup to grow up alongside your family, to cherish for the next decade and to build memories with, then we have no doubt Brandy is your girl.
