Save Me Rescue remembers Alleigh.
Just a few weeks short of her 17th birthday, we had to say good-bye to our sweet Alleigh.
Alleigh joined our family shortly after her 1st birthday. Due to having 2 surgeries on her leg,
her breeder decided to try to find the right home for her. As she was our Westie Bonnie’s
sister, we were lucky to bring her into our home. Alleigh was a delight throughout her life.
She got along with everyone ~ dogs and people alike. Over the years, she was a sister to 7
other dogs and was always the most welcoming whenever a new dog joined our pack.
Until these past 9 months, Alleigh enjoyed wonderful health and I always referred to her as
my ‘no fuss, no muss’ girl. She had an adventurous, fun-loving spirit and that true terrier
stubborn streak at times.
In November of 2012, Alleigh was diagnosed with renal failure. She endured her treatments without
a complaint and we are grateful for the extra 6 months that we had with her. Our hearts broke when
we had to say good-bye to her on May 23rd, 2013, and I hope that she has been reunited with her
original gang of Airedale Wendel, Westie Bonnie, and Lakeland Jaime. She is missed by Terrier Mix Henry,
Black Russian Xander, Westie Baylee, Westie Julie, her mom and dad, brother Jonathan, and extended
Family and friends who all loved Alleigh. This sweet, friendly girl will never be forgotten.
