Little Man has been adopted.
Are you looking for a best friend? If your idea of a perfect dog is unwavering loyalty, a big happy smile and more kisses than you can imagine then have we got the dog for you! Little Man is a quite the charmer who loves attention from the ladies. Once he has found his person, we are convinced he would follow them to the ends of the earth. One of the most affectionate, cuddliest, snuggliest dogs you will ever meet, Little Man is sure to sweep you off your feet. A Romeo of sorts, he has a certain way about him that will soften even the hardest of hearts with his smile, his kisses and his sense of humour. Despite a past full of hardships, Little Man is resilient and has a lot of love to give!
At 8 years young, Little man is house-trained and adores walks on a leash. An ideal home for our sweet guy would be one wherein he will have a strong leader. You see, Little Man loves his people so much that he can sometimes become a little protective of his owner but this is something that his foster mom is working with him on. It’s understandable behaviour at this point, as Little Man did spend quite a lot of time in a shelter so now he is especially bonded to his foster parents. However, while we comprehend his behaviour, we do not want to endorse it and Little Man has begun making process in changing his ways for the better.
A perfect home for our special guy would be calm, quiet and committed. Little Man would do best in a detached home as his bark can be quite loud, so a condo or apartment may not be ideal. Because he is slightly protective, a home with children over the age of 10 would be most responsible. He has met children within his foster family and done well, however they are a bit older and quite experienced, getting to know him over a few months time. Little Man will need a parent and/or parents who are committed to working with him on his issues and active in taking him to classes where they see fit.
One on one, Little Man is an amazing dog. He is just so sweet, so lovely and such a cuddle bug. We know that he has all the potential in the world to become even more socialized with the right adopter. All he needs is someone to take a chance on him, and he will give them all the love they could imagine in return.
