Ginger

Ginger has been adopted.

A note from Ginger’s foster mama: “Ginger is pretty well the sweetest Chi I have ever met! She is a master cuddlier who prefers to spend her days burrowed in her blankets sleeping the day away. She loves all people, men and women as well as all dogs. Even my large dogs didn’t intimidate her and she can often be found cuddled up with them.

Ginger had a rough start to life, she received little to no medical care and as a result required an extensive dental when she came into rescue where a portion of her bottom jaw was removed as well as all of her teeth. Due to this procedure she will require a high quality, soft food diet for the rest of her life (which she loves!). She isn’t a fan of all this snow being a Tennessee girl but she is fully pee pad trained and prefers this alternative in the cooler weather. It’s clear she has never been walked on a leash before so that is still a work in progress but truth be told she is the kind of girl who prefers to be carried anyway!

Due to her size we would not recommend a home with children under 10 years old, she is very tiny and children need to understand how delicate she is, especially around her mouth due to her surgery. She would love a home where someone is around at least a portion of the day! She is a very easy dog but she does like to make her opinions known and will tell you quite clearly when she feels she is being ignored and would like to be in your lap! She is honestly the sweetest thing and whoever adopts this girls is going to have an amazing companion!”
