Tidbit

Prior to coming to a Save Me Rescue foster home, Tidbit had been chained to a backyard for the first year of his life. That said, while being in a house has been a treat for our little cutie, it has also been a bit of a strange experience for him.  He is bewildered by the sounds and commotion of a house and not quite sure what to make of it all, but in the few days after his arrival, some improvement is already noted. It is clear that Tidbit has never been walked on a leash before in his short life, because he is a little confused by that too and not sure what to do.

Despite his rough start, Tidbit is a wonderful soul that wants to be with his people and he freely showers them with kisses. His miniature beagle face, small stature, constantly wagging tail and beautifully coloured brown eyes make him such an adorable dog! Even though it’s clear that he hasn’t been shown any affection so far in his life, this boy has a lot of love to give anyway. He gets along with all people – men, women and teen children. He has not been tested with younger children yet, but no aggression or mean tendencies have been noted at all. He just wants to love everyone!

Tidbit is very curious about cats and was nose-to-nose with a very outgoing one without harming it. However, if a cat runs from him he will want to chase them! Introducing him to dog toys has been amusing, as he’s not sure what to do with them. This is indicative of no one taking any time with him to teach him how to be a dog and how to have fun! Even though he is only 1 year old, he’s really seeing a warm, family-type world for the first time and like any puppy, will need the usual obedience, leash and house-training lessons. This little dog has so much life to experience ahead of him and is going to be a silly and wonderful addition to any family.
