Cosmo has been adopted!
Sponsored in loving memory of Maddie from Echo and Sandy
Cosmo was born almost two years ago on August 8, 2022. This sweet and gentle boy was born in a puppy mill, but was luckily released and is ready to embrace all the fun life has to offer! Cosmo loves being outside and stopping to smell the roses (meaning everything!). He is a curious, smart, and a brave boy, who is learning very quickly how to live in his foster home. Cosmo enjoys to play on his own by throwing his toys in the air and pouncing away. He is learning to walk on a leash, but can still be timid of loud noises.
In the short time he’s been in foster, he has drastically improved. He loves to follow his foster mom around the house and stops for a good head rub. He currently lives with a senior dog and is always curious but respectful of her space and cues. Cosmo is working on his house training and with a good routine of regular outings, he knows what to do. He doesn’t have accidents in the house if taken out on his routine. If on the odd occasion he misses his outing, Cosmo is fully trained on pee pads. Sleeping through the night is no trouble for Cosmo, as he is crate trained. His foster mom is out of the house 3-4 hours per day and he doesn’t mind hanging out in his crate until she returns, but Cosmo would love someone home with him the majority of the time. He looks to his foster mom for guidance and comfort.
Cosmo is a good eater and drinker, showing no signs of food aggression. He can be shy and timid with new people, but given some time, he becomes more and more comfortable. Cosmo has been for successful rides in the car, but to keep him safe he rides in his crate. The ideal home for Cosmo would be someone with a fully fenced in yard and experience and/or knowledge of puppy mill rescues. Cosmo would love to have a doggy sibling, cousin, or friend. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
