Dogs

Reagan

Reagan has an application in progress

Sponsored by Alyssa Minsky and family in memory of their little Rocky, the light of their lives, who passed in December. Rocky’s brother, Henry, is a Save Me rescue and is learning to live life without his best friend always by his side. More than anything, Rocky would want another dog to live their very best life, just like his brother Henry.

Reagan spent the first 4 and a half years in a puppy mill. She is a special girl, ready to start her new life and will need a family that has experience with mill dogs and is willing to give her time and patience.

Reagan is a work in progress, everything is new and scary for this girl. She has shown some resource guarding over objects, directed at towards the resident dog. We feel Reagan would be happiest as an only dog. A family, with no other pets, will need to be devoted to giving her space, time and structure to help her blossom.

During her time in rescue, Reagan has had a few sessions with a trainer. This has been very helpful for both Reagan and her foster mom. It will be required for Reagan’s adopter to see a trainer as well to help her continue to gain confidence and continue to blossom. The rescue will pay for the initial session with a trainer chosen in consultation with the us.

House training and crate training is coming along. She is vocal when she goes into the crate, but does settle down. Reagan needs a fenced in yard, as she is a flight risk, and is most comfortable doing her business in the yard instead of on walks.

She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

We know Reagan still has a lot to learn but feel it is in her best interest to continue her journey in her forever home. Do you have the time, patience and experience to help this sweet girl in the next chapter of her life?
