Hello! I’m Shirley! I came into care with my sister Laverne from way up North in Attawapiskat.
I am sweet as pie and cute as a button! I’m a little more shy than my sister, but still love exploring new things and being adventurous! I LOVE my dog foster-sister (a big Golden Retriever) and would snuggle and play with her all day if I could! I would really love a doggie playmate in my forever home. I’ve also realized human beds are super snuggly and love a good movie night cuddle with the family!
I am a people-loving girl and follow my foster mom everywhere she goes. I have a pretty great natural recall too! I just want to be around you! I love my human foster-brother who is 5 1/2. He has nicknamed me polar bear! I would love a family with respectful kids to play and grow up with.
I need a fully fenced yard. I think I would love an active family to keep me busy and motivated. If I’m bored I will chew on something I shouldn’t. It’s hard being little!
Potty training is going AMAZING and my foster mom says I am SO SMART and SUCH A GOOD GIRL! I’ve only had a few accidents since I’ve been here and for being so little that is incredible (if I do say so myself!)
I am OBSESSED with food. I devour my meals in 1.2 seconds so a slow feeding bowl helps me slow down. I also need practice to take treats in a gentle way – it’s hard because they’re just so yummy! But I’m working on it!
I have had my first vaccines and deworming. The nice people at the vet hospital said I was SO CUTE and I wasn’t even scared!
