Aurelia is a stunning female aussie mix with such a good heart. She will be a very loyal family member who will aim to please. She just loves being told she’s a good girl.
Aurelia will need a dog experienced adopter who has had a herding breed in the past and worked with confidence building. Aurelia is slow to warm up, and will need someone who is able to understand that and work with her. Once she gets to know her people, she’s so full of love and wants to be near to her people and included in whatever they’re doing.
She’s wonderful on leash, has a decent recall, and is crate trained. House training is almost complete (sometimes she gets playing in the yard and forgets why she’s there resulting in an occasional accident). She enjoys fetch almost as much as she likes the praise for a job done well. She would benefit from training classes (both the social aspect and the mental exercise) and most likely do well in agility.
A home without children would probably be best, as this environment would be the easiest for her to settle into and allow her to learn skills and build confidence. Also a home without cats is ideal. She would do well with another medium to large dog that is well balanced and enjoys playtime.
